Chapter 66 is Up!

Huge thanks to John, my brain twin and co-master of the E&O Universe, who inspires me daily so I can keep writing Edward's story.  Also a huge thank you to my Beta, Natalie, who reviewed this chapter in record time and flagged up some much needed changes to make this chapter much better than it was. And thank you to all of you who continue to read this story. Without you there would be little reason for me to continue.

I have it on good authority that John intends to post a new chapter of Culture Aftershock soon, perhaps ever today! :)

I'm not sure on the ETA of the next chapter of Errors, but I have built up some momentum so the wait shouldn't be as long as in years past. John needs me to keep writing to keep our stories aligned, so I'm confident he will keep me on track :)

Here's the link to the new chapter, and you'll also find it in the table of contents on the right. Huge thanks go out to my Beta, Natalie, who reviewed this chapter despite being laid up with the flu! Hope you feel better soon, sweetie!
I hope you all enjoy this chapter. I've written about 7K words of chapter 66 already, so it should be fairly close on this one's heels. And don't forget, John continues to post new chapters of Culture Aftershock, many of which give you glimpses of Edward and Jasper too :)

As always, I'd love to hear your thoughts.  Also, I won't talk about my original fiction here, but for those of you who are interested I will soon put up a post on my OhJasperMyJasper blog about some things that are currently going on and some to look forward to in the near future. The link to my author blog is in the right hand column :)

Thank you for reading and happy Fall!

Love, Liz

p.s. I have heard that some of you are not receiving e-mail notices about new chapters. Unfortunately, I don't control the e-mail notices, so I can't do anything to fix the problem. It may be that notices are getting caught up in your spam folders or the e-mail filters are not even letting them get through that far. The only thing I can suggest is maybe registering again, perhaps with another e-mail address. (If you want to subscribe to updates from my author blog, you need to do that separately on that blog.) And make sure you confirm your registration when you get the e-mail from feedburner to do so. If that still doesn't work, then I suppose just check here periodically for news. Sorry for the inconvenience. :( Sometimes technology just doesn't want to cooperate.

Chapter 65 is up!

Chapter 64 is up!

You all voted and I promised to post Chapter 64 as soon as I could. Unfortunately, it still took a long time. What can I say? Life has been kicking me in the butt pretty hard lately. Work is crazy busy plus I've had a lot of family gatherings and deadlines on some of my original fiction stories. The bad news is none of that is likely to change soon. The good news is that I'm really missing Edward and Jasper and I may just have to rearrange some other things to get back to them sooner or at least to fit them in wherever I can.

I'd like to send special thanks to John, for all the hand holding and brainstorming and to Natalie, for her excellent Beta work. Also to Maureen for all her encouragement (with apologies for being so absent for such a long while now.) And of course to Sylvia and all the other wonderful readers who told me over the last few months how much they missed the boys and who were ultimately responsible for me bringing you this chapter sooner rather than later. I really do appreciate all the comments and the commitment you all made to these characters and their story. Jasper and Edward and I will not let you down. We'll keep posting (albeit likely in drips and drabs) until the story is done.

To all the readers who requested a summary of the rest of the story, I will e-mail it tonight. It's not particularly detailed, but it will give you an idea of how I envision the upcoming chapters. If you requested a summary and do not see it in your e-mail box by tomorrow (after checking your spam folder, as an e-mail from me with an attachment may end up there) it was an oversight on my part and not a deliberate omission. Just e-mail me again and it will be on its way.

Thank you all again so much and I hope you enjoy Chapter 64.

Love, Liz.

New Chapter of Errors coming soon!

Thank you all so much for your comments on the Errors blog, on twitter, and via e-mail in response to my last post on the Errors blog. I can't express enough how much your encouragement means to me!  I am so glad that it's not just John and I who love our E&O boys. :)

The votes are in and it looks like the majority wants me to post the next chapter of Errors now, so I will oblige. My wonderful Beta, Natalie, has been through the chapter and has returned her comments. Now I have to find time to review them and finalize the chapter before posting. I wish I could say that this will happen in a couple of days, but my work schedule this week is nuts and I do have a deadline on editing and proofreading a story for the Goodreads Love Has No Boundaries event, so I have to give that a priority on whatever spare time I have. Rest assured, however, that I will finalize the chapter just as quickly as I can.

For those of you who have requested the summary, I apologize for not sending it yet. Again, it's a question of time allocation and I just did not have time to finish the summary last week. But if you sent me an e-mail, you will see that summary soon, and in any event no later than the posting of the next chapter here.  The summary will take you to the end of the story as I envision it at the time of completing the summary, though you may still want to come back here when the story is finished to make sure the boys didn't dictate any major changes in the plot :).

Also, I received the comment that there seemed to be a problem with the link for Equal & Opposite.  I have no idea what happened, but just to clarify, the blog for that story is still active and the story is available for your reading pleasure. I believe I fixed the link issue, but if there is a problem in the future, all of my E&O blogs are linked together and linked to the author blog, so jumping over to, say, the Enticements blog and clicking on the Equal link may get you there if the link from here does not. That goes for any links to any of the stories.  Sometimes blogger just has a hick up, I guess. *rolls eyes* Thank you for letting me know about the broken link and I hope that helps!

Sending you all bunches of tight hugs!

Love, Liz

Bad Author

Okay, I know it's been months since the last chapter. As I mentioned here before, my intention was to wait until the story was finished before I posted any other new chapters. However, I confess I'm finding it very difficult to juggle some conflicting writing priorities along with my work and family life.

Here's the complete and total truth.  My work has kept me very busy over the last couple of years, and since that's what pays the bills, it has to take priority, as does my family, which too has seemingly been more demanding recently. That leaves a more limited amount of time for writing, and where before I was concentrating exclusively on fan fiction, I now have to split that time between fan fiction and original fiction.

Please note that I am splitting my time, not abandoning fan fiction altogether. I made a commitment to finishing Errors & Omissions and I am determined to live up to that commitment  It's just that it's happening at such a slow pace that by the time I'm done most of you may no longer care. I realize that may frustrate many of you (as it would frustrate me as a reader) so I came up with three options.

1) I send you a summary of where I see the story going. The summary will be pretty basic - just an overview without any real details. Also, I can't promise that the story will actually go that way, because things often change as I write.  However, right now I do have a path to the end in mind and I would be willing to share that summary with those readers who just need some closure so they can check this "saga" off their list and move on. If  you want to receive a summary, e-mail me at ohjaspermyjasper at gmail dot com and let me know. The only thing I ask is that you don't post what I sent you anywhere and that you don't discuss the summary in public forums, so as not to spoil the story for other readers. IF YOU WANT TO ELECT THIS OPTION, YOU DO NOT NEED TO LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW.

2) I post the next chapter here now, and try to post the rest of them as I write them, but likely with long delays in between. Chapter 64 is written but unedited. Chapter 65 is about halfway done. Chapter 66 is about 3/4 done.  I cannot be sure when I will have time to complete the partially written chapters. I could, however, within the next month, carve out enough time to edit and post 64. If the majority of the comments I receive on this post choose this option, I will do my best to make it happen.

3) I stick to the original plan of posting nothing until I'm done with the story.  Right now, that means that I have to meet a deadline of mid-may for a short original story I'm writing, and then I need to edit and publish a new original novel, hopefully in early June. Once those two tasks are complete, I will once again be able to focus on Errors. At that point I hope to be able to concentrate on finishing Errors. For what it's worth, my goal is to bring Errors over the finish line before the end of 2013.  I really want to start 2014 with a clean slate and all my fan fiction works complete.

If you feel strongly about either Option Number 2 or Option Number 3, please leave a comment below to let me know which you prefer.  I'll total the preferences a week from today and that will determine whether I wait to post or whether I'll edit and post Chapter 64 sooner.

Oh, and if you are interested in my original writing, I will be posting an update about that on my author's blog: www.ohjaspermyjasper.blogspot.com

Thank you so much for your patience and continued support, and regardless of which option wins, I will to be back here with new chapters for you just as quickly as I can.

Love,

Liz

Update

I posted this news already on my author blog and on twitter, but I thought it would be considerate to post it here as well, especially as some of you have asked for a new chapter in your comments. I am happy to report that I am once again writing Errors and have completed chapter 64 and part of chapter 65.  However, I have decided not to post those or any other chapters here until I am finished with the entire story. Errors has already had enough fits and starts and I feel at this point it will be better for everyone involved if I get the story to completion and then post the remaining chapters on a regular schedule, so that you can be assured that once I start posting again you won't ever have to wait months for the next installment.

At this point I have no estimate on when I will begin posting. My time, as always, is divided between work and family demands and writing, so my schedule is rather unpredictable. I am, however, as desperate as most of you to get to the end, so I have a lot of motivation!

Thank you so much for hanging in with me and the story, and I very much hope to be back here posting regularly soon.

All the best,

Liz!
